Hi! My name is Nonneka and I grew up in North Carolina. I have worked with young children for 6 years. The excitement of watching children grow and develop is what made me want to work with children. In my free time I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, and trying new foods.

 

The most important thing for parents to know about me is that I genuinely care about the well-being and development of each child in my care. My favorite thing about teaching is seeing the smile on a child’s face when learning something new.

 

My favorite children’s books are Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and The Patchwork Quilt. I also enjoy reading the class Bible stories. My favorite activity in the classroom is reading aloud with the kids and dancing. My favorite children’s songs is "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes," "Mary had a Little Lamb," "The Hokey Pokey," and "Skidamarink." My favorite scripture is Proverbs 22:6​.
